In HOUSE FOR A SMALL FAMILY (76) we determined the global layout and the right connection between the different activities, it is now time to tackle a very tricky part of our new home ... the kitchen.

Most of the household tasks take place in the kitchen. Besides a social meeting place it is a complicated logistic puzzle that has to be solved by careful planning of it's layout.

Therefore:

Having many power-outlets in many different places is the key to a modern kitchen. The kitchendevices should have a long power cable. This is a true liberation. Now many tasks can be executed everywhere in the kitchen.

OPEN SHELVES (200) for all the machines. The ELECTRIC SYSTEM (401) should be designed with all this machinery in mind. Playing youngsters can be put behind a fence in a corner of the kitchen, KITCHEN PLAYING CORNER (410) - COOKING LAYOUT (184) and AMAZING DISCOVERIES (1001)...
